Dragon Quest: Heroes - New Yuji Horii Famitsu Details

A couple of new details on Dragon Quest Heroes and the yet to be announced Dragon Quest XI from Famitsu's interview with series creator Yuji Horii.

Yuji Horii said, just when he was thinking about making an action rpg based Dragon Quest game, and he was contacted by Koei Tecmo. Thus the partnership began. Omega Force, the team behind Dynasty Warriors, has been developing the game for over 2 years now, under supervision of Square Enix. Just because Omega Force is developing the title, Yuji Horii hasn't take a back seat. He has been very hands-on during the development of the game.

The game's theme is an invasion of one million Dragon Quest monsters. PS Vita title Toukiden even inspired the giant monster battles. Many memorable tunes from previous Dragon Quest games will make a return. Yuji Horii finally ended the interview by saying Dragon Quest XI is currently in development. But they want to build the excitement for it, by letting players play Dragon Quest: Heroes first.

Dragon Quest: Heroes for PS4 and PS3 is set to release spring 2015 in Japan.
